Also worth a visit is Mosta Town - hardly 3kms down the road and renowned for its church with the third largest dome in the world. The coast road is 15 minutes drive giving access to many resorts with good bathing facilities like Bugibba, St. Paul's Bay, Salina, Bahar ic-Caghaq & St. Julian's. Rural but superbly located for quick excursions to Valletta (8km - historical lots to see), Sliema - St. Julian's (4kms- smart -lots of cafes, restaurants & night spots), Gozo island -lovely day trip (17kms to car ferry crossing at Cirkewwa).
